with Created Expression

I really am looking for a few websites to set up for the cost of the experience.

What I'm offering...

• The installation and set-up of Joomla! on your site.
• The installation and set-up of any Joomla! extensions that I support and you choose.
• The customization of your site based on a Rocket Theme template.
• Web hosting for twelve months with The Collective Edge.
• Helping you get going and keep going in your web presence.
• I am offering all of this for free for the sites I agree to work on.

What I'm not offering...

This offer does not include anything that would be an additional out of pocket cost for me, like commercial licenses or domain name registration. I will though help you acquire these if you like.

For the hosting...

Hosting is with The Collective Edge. It includes 250MB of space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited e-mail addresses, unlimited FTP accounts, unlimited subdomains and CPanel access (including Fantastico). Uptime is guaranteed to be 99.9%.

Notably, "The Collective Edge" is another of my projects and as soon as I finish getting "with Created Expression" going, I will be working towards the launching of that project with the help of my collaborators. The point of "The Collective Edge" is to, exactly, provide the means for meaningful web presences and community so although I can't yet say how much hosting will be after the initial "12 months free" period that comes with my offer, I know that it will be best or better than any competitive hosting services. Current thinking is around $6 CAD per month but the great twist to that is that this is payable in cash or barter. And, although this is rather weird, it's a good weird. Really.

To reassure you about this hosting context if you do indeed need reassurance... all files on your site always belong to you, so if we do go ahead with our work together and it happens that you choose to host your site elsewhere in 12 months (or before), you can always take your site along with you. And if The Collective Edge hosting doesn't work for you, it won't work for "with Created Expression" or for my own (other) work, "Created Expression" either. All sites related to either of these are currently hosted with The Collective Edge so I definitely have a bunch of vested interests.

What I expect...

I really am doing this for the experience of it and expect nothing in return beyond sincere intentions and serious efforts on your end.

What you can expect...

I am treating the experience of these few sites as I would a paying customer while knowing that there are still some kinks to work out and some experiences to gain.

Given that I don't know what sort of response I will get, I can't yet say how many sites I will accept or how exactly I will choose the ones I do. I will though let you know as soon as possible what my decision is.
