I was going to write that websites are all in the software but I will change that as it skips over the most important part. Websites are all in their intention. It is the realization of this intention that is either helped or hindered by the software and technological choices we make for it. Towards this latter end, I have worked on putting together a suite of software choices and options that maximize creativity -- read "independence and functionality" -- and minimize hassle and cost. Truly. This comes from my experience, an incredible development in the web world called Joomla! and a major decline in the price of disk space that The Collective Edge passes along the benefit of.
I am still working out the specifics of my prices but, notably, I am working to make starting from nothing and going to a web site (including your own domain, lots of disk space, hosting for a year, a solid go-as-far-as-you-like-whenever-you-like site and a great community of support) incredibly accessible and affordable.
Much of what I am making available is already out there and available. And much of it is free. So what am I offering that is different? What is or isn't free (and worth whichever price :o)? What isn't already available?
My answer to that is... All of 'that' considered (and tested and tried) and put together in a technically solid, creatively viable, financially accessible context that works for your independence and intention. Yes. That is what I am ultimately working towards providing here.
