If you already know what you want in a website, please skip this article and check out the next one. If you're still reading this one, there are a few questions to ask yourself to, exactly, get you started in "your" website. Notably, the concise version is "Why?". A short version is "What?", "With or for whom?" and "How often?" And, a longer version follows...

Here are the steps in putting up your own website: (1) acquiring a domain name, (2) contracting with a web host, (3) choosing your web site's software base and (4) working out the design of your site. If you've read the other articles, you've probably gathered that my approach to the web and your web presence isn't that common. And I agree. I do, as do many, consider the web to be an incredible medium and/but I view the technicalities of it as tools and the means towards your end. So, starting our work doesn't imply the, let's say, "regular" forms and questions. And, if you've read this far, you may as well read on :o)
