Given that I work under Windows, I work with Internet Explorer 7 as my main browser. I do this not necessarily by preference but for the sake of efficiency.
Internet Explorer is a very picky browser from a web developer's point of view. Getting things to display properly and to have pages load without any errors is the toughest with IE 7. So... I work in IE 7. Usually, when things display properly in IE 7 then they display well in Firefox too. The inverse is very much not true.
Whenever I work on a site, I have one IE 7 browser window open to the adminstrator area and another IE 7 browser window open to the live site. This way I can (and do) always check how any change I've made in the adminstrator area is reflected on the site. And, once I'm satisfied with whatever I have been working on, I check the display of this very same thing on Firefox before saying "I'm done."
Hearing what you Mac users out there do would be great.
